Novena

Pray with Us

We invite you to pray the Catholic in Recovery Novena for those with a variety of addictions, compulsions, and unhealthy attachments (including alcoholism, drug addiction, compulsive overeating, anorexia, bulimia, pornography and sex addiction, gambling addiction, technology addiction, compulsive spending/debting, codependency, adult children of alcoholics, and many others) as well as their family members and loved ones. Sign up below to receive a short meditation on a recovery-related saint and a prayer each day for the next nine days.

You’ll learn about and ask for the intercession of several patron saints who have experienced the suffering of addiction and/or unhealthy attachments first hand—whether in their own lives or through the lives of their loved ones. And you’ll be added to our monthly newsletter, where once a month we share testimonials from CIR community members, meeting updates, and more.

The Catholic Church has a rich tradition of setting aside nine days to dedicated prayer, which we call a “novena”. During these nine days, we pray for specific intentions and graces in union with others praying this novena. There is power and strength in uniting our prayers with others. As Jesus reminds us, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Mt. 18:20).

We hope this novena brings God’s infinite mercy and grace into your life and the lives of your loved ones!
