I am a Catholic in recovery. I wrote a prayer/song a while ago that has helped me and I wanted to share it with other Catholics. I am not looking to benefit financially from this…I just think it may help others. Your thoughts?
SONG: JUST WHAT TO DO
Totally out of control am I
lost and all alone
On a path to nowhere
wandering far from home
[chorus]
Seems no matter what I try
it always leads to failing.
Although I know that is not true
that’s only evil’s wailing.
[chorus]
I can fight this on my own
that is what I say.
But always after some success
it’s quickly snatched away.
[chorus]
So I turn to you oh Lord
I’ve nowhere else to go.
For You never turn away
through experience this I know.
[chorus]
Totally out of control I am
but not lost or all alone
for You have given me a path
and a hand to hold
[chorus]
Helping others find Your path
that is Your direction.
While leading others back to You
I continue my course corrections.
CHORUS
Jesus you are here beside me
Mary you are here to guide me
Father teach me with your lessons
Spirit fill me with your blessings
Lord I give control to you,
tell me now just what to do.
