A few years ago, a parish community was challenged to do something different for Lent — to give the value of what they were giving up to a special almsgiving collection.

When Lent ended, their sacrificial giving became a multi-thousand-dollar gift that changed lives.

This year, an anonymous friend of Catholic in Recovery is inviting us to do the same.

In their words:

“I invite you to contribute the value of the things you are giving up for Lent, or have given up for your recovery, to Catholic in Recovery. All your donations over and above your normal recurring contributions will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 this Lent.”

As of April 1, we have reached our original $10,000 goal! Now, our anonymous friend and another donor have agreed to team up to each match every gift given through Easter Sunday, up to $15,000. Will you help us reach our new goal and unlock another $15,000 to serve individuals and families impacted by addiction!?

People arrive in our meetings burdened by shame, isolation, and fear. Through Christ-centered recovery, they encounter mercy, truth, and community.

Your generosity makes that possible.

Now through Easter Sunday:

• Every dollar you give will be tripled.
• Every act of sacrifice will multiply in impact.
• Every gift helps carry hope to someone still suffering.

• Now until Easter Sunday, every dollar raised above $10,000 (up to $15,000) will be tripled
• Gifts are matched 2 dollars for every dollar given
• Applies to new and additional gifts beyond recurring commitments

If we reach $15,000 by Easter Sunday, your generosity will unlock $35,000 in support for the mission of Catholic in Recovery.

But the double match ends on Easter Sunday.
